Increase in pensions and increase in Spanish paternity leave

Spain's Prime Minister, José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero has made a promise to the Spanish people that he will increase the minimum pensions next year by at least double the overall pension increase.

During his speech at an annual mining festival on Sunday he also mentioned that fact that he would allow an extra 110€ per month for widows and widowers who are below the age of 65 and still have children to support.

Some more good news came from Jesús Caldera the minister of employment when on Saturday he stated that paternity leave is to increase from the current rate of 15 days to one month.
