The froreign element of the population in Denia has quadrupledAn article in an Alicante newspaper (Información) on Monday has suggested that the foreign population over the last seven years has increased by four times. When reporting on the current population figures for the main towns Marina Alta, the paper confirmed that foreign nationals now make up 32% of the overall population of the area, thats 14,539 people in total. A further breakdown of these figures suggests that Germans are the highest number of foreign residents at 2,654, followed by the UK with 1,606 people and then Colombia at 1,203. In Xàbia however, the foreign nationals make up a much larger percentage of the overall population at 17,115 people, which equates to a staggering 54% of the local population.
