300 estate agents close in Alicante

The expected slowdown in the Alicante property market since the property boom has led to 300 real esate agent offices in Alicante closing their doors according to the Alicante newspaper información.

The paper suggests that during the property boom there were over 7,000 real estate agents operating in the Alicante region but now that the "bubble has burst" hundreds are being forced to close their doors.

The Honorary President of the Alicante Real Estate Agents College, Enrique Llopis advised that during the first few months of this year they have seen over 300 real estate agents close down in the Alicante region.

It is widely believed that this is not actually a bad thing as many people thought that there was far too many agents operating in the area in any case.
